As a peace offering for pushing back Divine Fate's release date and leaving you all in Limbo for longer, I present to you this deleted scene, which was once going to be a prologue.

It didn't go through final rounds of editing and isn’t part of the official story except for inside my head, so there may be inconsistencies, imperfections, and typos, but I enjoyed writing the quintet as children (minus Maven, who is very much not in the mortal realm at this time) and wanted to share it.

Like the rest of the series, this "deleted scene" is a bit dark, so please don't read this if you are triggered by any of the following:
